Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna: Walk-in Interview : Guest Assistant Professor, Senior Technical Assistant and Technical Assistant

Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna established by Bihar Act 24, 2008 is conducting a walk in interview for the following posts of Aryabhatta Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ACNN) under the School of Engineering and Technology:-



1. Guest Assistant Professor
No. of Vacancy:- 02 (01 EBC + 01 SC) 
Pay Scale:-  Honorarium will be Rs. 1000/- per class maximum upto Rs. 25,000/- per month
Essential Qualifications:- (a) Ph. D. in Nano Science/Nano Technology field/ Ph.D. in Science in the area of Nanomaterial research with M.Tech. degree in Mechanical/ Electronics/ Material Science/Nanotechnology/ Bio technology or, /M.S./M.Sc. in Basic science (with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade) from a recognized university/institute of repute, 
(b) Candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CS1R. The candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the updated University Grants Commission guidelines-2009/2016 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET. 
(c) NET shall not be required for such master programmes in disciplines for which NET is not conducted. 
(d) The candidate applying for the post of Assistant Professor are who were enrolled for Ph.D. before 11th July 2009 will be governed by the 4th amendment, UGC regulations-2016, which is as under "Provided further the award of degree to candidates registered for M.Phil/Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009 shall be governed by the provisions of the existing ordinances/ By laws/Regulations of the institutions awarding the degree and Ph.D. candidate shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant professor or equivalent positions in universities/ Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfilment of the following conditions- 
(a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only
(b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiner
(c) Open Ph.D. viva Voce of the candidate had been conducted 
(d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal (e) Candidate has made at least two presentations in conferences/seminars, based on his/her Ph.D. work (a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/Pro-Vice Chancellor/Dean (Academic Affairs)/ Dean( University instructions) Desirable Qualifications: (a) He/She concentrate on Teaching & Research, in the area of Nano Science/ Nano Technology particularly Food Bio-Nanotechnology, Computational Nanoscience, Nanotechnology in medicine. (b) Publications of at least 5 research papers in peer reviewed Journals as a author/co-author (C) Demonstrative leadership in organizing National/State level seminars/conference/academic activities. (d) Demonstrative leadership of handling high end research equipment like Electron Microscope, Vibrating sample Microscope, Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy and other Nanomaterials characterization equipment's. 
Age Limit:- Not exceeding 55 years as on date of advertisement. 

2. Senior Technical Assistant
No. of Vacancy : 01 (UR) 
Pay Scale:- Rs. 22,000/- per month
Qualification/Specialization:M.Sc/M.S/M.Tech in Nano Science/Nano Technology/ Electronics/Material Science/ Physics from a recognized university/institute of repute. 
or B.Tech Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Mechanical/ Metallurgical Engineering/ Materials Science. Desirable- Experience of handling and maintaining high end research equipment in the areas of Nano Science/Nano Technology. 
Age Limit:- Not exceeding 40 years as on date of advertisement.

3. Technical Assistant  
No. of Vacancy :- 02 (01 UR + 01 EBC)
Pay Scale:- Rs. 20,000/- per month
Qualification/Specialization: 1 B.Sc.(H) in Physics/Electronics/Chemistry or B.Tech. in Electrical/Electronics/ Instrumentation/Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering/Materials Science from a recognized university/institute of repute, 2 Experience of handling and maintaining high end research equipment in the areas of Nano Science/Nano Technology. Age:- Not exceeding 40 years as on date of advertisement. Preference will be given B. Tech/M. Tech / M.S in nanoscience & Technology degree( If higher degree candidates available)


Application Fee:- Demand Draft of Rs. 1,000.00 should be in favour of “Aryabhatta Knowledge University” and be payable at Patna but for SC/ST and Person with disability (PWD) or Physically Challenged (PH) candidates and for persons in a service of AKU are exempted from fee.
